Hi, I am an architecture student at Arizona State University and the site for our project is in the desert right near Tubac, AZ. I am looking to design a center for parents to bring their children to, something that I have noticed is missing in or around Tubac. This is a hypothetical project and will not be built, but I came across your website and was wondering if you could give me any input? Is it something worth bringing to Tubac? Do you think it would help attract people of the younger age range to Tubac? There seems to be a gap in Tubac, it is missing children and teens. I assume this is largely because Tubac is only a village and the activities there are focused on people who do no longer have children at home, but correct me if am wrong. All the input I can get would be great, and I hope you don't mind my joining the website.

I think it would be AWESOME to have a children's center in Tubac. As a newcomer to the area, I have noticed it is very hard to find other children and parents in the area. Perhaps that is because there is no central place that to gather and meet formally and informally, at least not one that caters to children's needs. It would be great to have a play area with an area for young children and a separate area for older children. What kinds of things were you thinking about for your project?

Please dont hesitate to work on this idea. Families with children in the Tubac area are growing and the need for services is too. We would be happy to contribute with ideas or answers to your questions. The idea of a community center or park has been a very common topic in the conversation of parents in Tubac and its surroundings!!
